SF Tech Bro Slang
I unironically really like SF tech bro slang. A lot of them are derived from concepts and terms in Math. You can actually see their values (intelligence, risk-taking, hard work, etc.) reflected in their slang. Anyway, here’s a list of them in no particular order:
- Permanent underclass
- Orthogonal
- Nontrivial
- High agency
- ngmi
- Out-of-Distribution
- Directionally. As in “can you indicate directionally good or bad?”
- Cracked
- Non-technical
Also, a list of AI terms to throw at interviewers in case they doubt how deep into AI psychosis I am atp in my life:
- Mention what the newest model is. Mention what the “best” model is right now according to people on Twitter and benchmarks
- Open weight models: Kimi, GLM, Qwen, MiniMax, DeepSeek
- Loop engineering
- OpenClaw (though I personally think it’s overhyped and that AI agents on your terminal like Claude Code or Opencode are better)
- Karpathy’s LLM Wiki (I implemented that!)
- SKILL.md
- AGENTS.md, Context layer, context engineering, RAG
- Agent harness
- Agentic workflow
- Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, Cursor
